Snake Bytes 3/30: Meeting Expectations AZ Snake Pit Diamondbacks 8, Rockies 2

A beautiful box score to look at for the opener Great numbers and it lacks the tedium of spring training. Unlike last year, the Diamondbacks did not need too much drama in this one. Starting pitching was strong as expected. Patrick Corbin gave up his required first inning homer, but settled in nicely for the win. The bullpen was perfect, starting with a nice LOOGY job by JDLR, followed by strong performances by everyone else. The offense scored runs led by Lamb’s commencement of his annual first half tear. Goldy got three walks. Our new speedster, Dyson, got a triple and a stolen base. Production up and down the lineup. Baseball is back and the Diamondbacks have started out quite strong.Related Lamb, D-backs Top Rox on Opening DayRelated Corbin Lamb Leads D-backsCorbin Fans 8 in Strong Opening Day DebutLast time he was going to start on opening day, he blew out his elbow before it even happened.
